THE STORY BEHIND
Brides by Jessa
Brides by Jessa was founded in 2014 by Jessa, a University of Iowa graduate with deep roots in the Iowa City community and an even deeper belief that every bride deserves something better than ordinary.
Having worked in jewelry, Jessa understood the weight of the moments that matter most. She saw a gap in the area: brides who wanted a truly elevated, personal experience had nowhere to go. So she created it.
I wanted to give people a different experience. I wanted great customer service, and I wanted a bride's experience to feel special, effortless, and fun—a truly high-end experience.

In 2019, Miriam, owner of Diamond Leaf Jewelers, recognized something in Brides by Jessa that was too rare to pass up: a brand built on the same values she had built her jewelry business on. The clientele, the philosophy, and the commitment to a highly personal experience made it a natural fit.

Miriam
As the owner of both Brides by Jessa and Diamond Leaf Jewelers, Miriam brings a jeweler's eye for detail and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship to every part of the bridal experience. She believes that the right dress—like the right ring—should feel as though it was chosen for you alone.
